The CSOHIMSS Board of Directors include industry professionals who volunteer their time and expertise to ensure the chapter mission:
It is the mission of CSOHIMSS to promote the professional development of its members through high quality educational programs and networking.
In addition, the CSOHIMSS Chapter activities and administration are governed by the CSOHIMSS Chapter By-Laws, revised as recently as July, 2005.

Marc Beasley, President Account Executive, Siemens Medical Solutions USA, Inc.
Marc has over 25 years experience with information technology, primarily in healthcare and telecommunication sectors. Having implemented some of the first inpatient pharmacy systems, Marc has completed technology tours as systems analyst, implementation specialist, program/project manager, consultant, strategic planner and account executive.
Marc's involvement with the CSOHIMSS chapter is to be a connector fostering greater collaboration, increasing participation and awareness of best process practices in healthcare. He takes it personally because it's not if but when he, his family or friends will rely on information technology to support clinical care. |

Russ Hessler, Vice President/Treasurer Russ has 15 years experience working in the Health Information field. His background has been with mid-sized hospitals and ambulatory care facilities. Russ currently serves as the Health Information manager at The Ohio State University Student Health Services overseeing both the Medical Record and Information Services areas. He is currently working on his Masters of Science in Health Informatics at The Ohio State University.
Russ’ desire is to work at the local level is fueled by the quality individuals he has encountered through HIMSS. He has recently been elected to serve on the CSOHIMSS Chapter Board of Directors as the Scholarship Chairperson. |

Debbie Murphy, CPHIMS, Past President Director Process Improvement, Licking Memorial Hospital, Newark, OH
Debbie Murphy is the Director of Process Improvement at Licking Memorial Hospital. She acts as a consultant for data and process questions for the institution including researching benchmarks and best practices, in addition to directly managing all 71 departmental dashboards.
Debbie has her MBA from Ohio State University and achieved her CPHIMS Certification in 2003.

Joanne White, Secretary Chief Information Officer, Wood County Hospital, Bowling Green, OH
Joanne has 30 years experience in Information Technology, 15 of those in healthcare. Before becoming the CIO at Wood County Hospital Joanne was a Systems Engineer for Siemens Medical Solutions and was involved with project management, implementations and support.
Joanne wants to be involved with the CSOHIMSS Board to help encourage sharing of information technology and help develop the future of Health Information Management Systems. |

Sean McPhillips, CPHIMS, FHIMSS, Communication Chairperson MBA, MPA, Manager, First Consulting Group, Florence, KY
Sean McPhillips is a Manager in Integration for First Consulting Group as well as the Founder/Principal of Macro Integration, LLC, a small firm specializing in integration services on the SeeBeyond Product Suite based out of Florence, Kentucky. For the past 13 years, Sean worked in various positions in Healthcare information systems. Such positions include a Principal in the Integration Practice for CTG Healthcare Solutions in Cincinnati, Ohio; Assistant Director of MIS at Phelps Memorial Hospital in Sleepy Hollow, New York; and Senior Project Manager for Stamford Health System in Stamford Connecticut.
Sean has been active on the CSOHIMSS Board since 2002 and currently manages the chapter website and edits the quarterly newsletter. He received his CPHIMS Certification in July, 2002 and was elevated to HIMSS Fellow in December 2005. |

Susan Petrose, CPHIMS, Scholarship Chair Facilities Manager, Information Systems, Kettering Health Network, Dayton, OH
Susan has extensive experience implementing multi-hospital core business and clinical applications. She manages the Systems Team responsible for the KHN Network’s (six hospital system) mainframes, while leading the Nurse Charting and CPOE initiatives from the Information Systems perspective. Prior to entering the health care arena, she was an Information Technology educator at the high school and adult learning levels. She carries this passion for education and life-long learning to her position as Scholarship Chair. |

Stephen Beck, MD, CPHIMS, Membership Chairperson As a physician, Dr. Beck practices Internal Medicine in Fairfield, Ohio, but also works as an independent consultant in Medical Informatics. He has over eight years experience in planning, implementation and follow up of EHR installations in both civilian and military populations, and has developed numerous decision support alerts and reminders for end users. Dr. Beck has also worked with patient lists (rosters) to enhance disease management. He has trained individual physicians on the EHR, and has wide experience in developing customized charting tools for both departments and individual physicians. He has over five years of personal experience using an EHR in his own medical practice.
On a national level, Dr. Beck was one of the first physicians to be certified by HIMSS as a Professional in Health Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS). He is actively involved in content review of the HIMSS National Conference, and was chairman of the National Professional Practice Task Force for HIMSS.
Dr. Beck has special interest in change management, return on investment, and decision support. |

Annette Elchert, Sponsorship Chairperson Account Executive/CIO, CareTech Solutions Inc. -Blanchard Valley Health Association (Outsourced IS Management & Support)
Annette has over 26 years experience in healthcare IT at the management level. Currently, her main involvement is with strategic planning, project management, implementation and support of healthcare applications.
Beginning July 1, 2006, Annette became the newest member of the CSOHIMSS Chapter Board as the Sponsorship Chairperson. Her reason for CSOHIMSS involvement is to expand her networking with other Ohio health systems to share best practices and clinical information systems experiences. |

Richard Moore, Government Advocacy Chair Richard Moore is the owner and president of DME Consulting Services. He has 26 years experience with Healthcare Information systems working with many public and private organizations such as the Ohio State University Medical Center, Anthem Inc., Community Mutual Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Connecticut, Digital Insurance Systems Corporation, The Ohio Department of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services, The Ohio Corporation for Health Information, SummaCare, Inc., the Health Policy Institute of Ohio, Ohio Health Information Network and eHealth Ohio.
He currently is a project lead/business analyst for HIPAA transactions for two State Medicaid implementations. He is an active participant in the National Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) and is a member of the eHI/HIMSS workgroup on RHIOs and HIMSS Advocacy. He is the current president of eHealth Ohio and is their regional representative to the national standards development organization Workgroup for Electronic Data Interchange (WEDI). He also is the testing site administrator for eHealth Ohio’s free HIPAA transaction testing community.
He has participated as an author on WEDI testing whitepapers. His broad-based knowledge of health information systems and operations comes from experience working directly with providers, payers, software manufacturers, electronic data interchange organizations, billing services, clearinghouses and government agencies. He has been working the last 3 years as the project lead for the HIMSS RHIO Federation Special Projects Workgroup Pilot study on the use of the GSA e-Authentication model for Healthcare Information Exchange focusing on electronic identity management, secure electronic health information exchange and federated single sign-on. |

Ajay Sharma, Public Relations Chair Ajay Sharma is a Senior Manager at Satyam Computer Services (NYSE:SAY), a multi-billion dollar leading global systems integrator specializing, among other areas, in application development and services in Healthcare & Life Sciences for customers around the globe.
Currently associated with the Healthcare practice at Satyam, Ajay has lived and worked in different parts of the world such as Hong Kong and Bangalore before
moving to the United States where he currently lives with his family based out of the Greater Cincinnati region. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce from Bangalore University and an MBA in Marketing from Fairleigh Dickinson University, Madison, NJ.
Ajay has been the Director of Global Services of Horizon Companies/CDC (China Dot Com) Services and is currently the Training Coordinator for the Ohio Valley
Oracle Applications User Group. He recently became active with the HIMSS and the CSOHIMSS Board and strives to leverage his diverse, multi-faceted
background to the benefit of Chapter members and attendees. |
