
The CSOHIMSS Board of Directors include industry professionals who volunteer their time and expertise to ensure the chapter mission:
It is the mission of CSOHIMSS to promote the professional development of its members through high quality educational programs and networking.
In addition, the CSOHIMSS Chapter activities and administration are governed by the CSOHIMSS Chapter By-Laws, revised as recently as July, 2005.

Annette Elchert, President Account Executive/CIO, CareTech Solutions Inc. -Blanchard Valley Health Association (Outsourced IS Management & Support)
Annette has over 26 years experience in healthcare IT at the management level. Currently, her main involvement is with strategic planning, project management, implementation and support of healthcare applications.
Beginning July 1, 2006, Annette became the newest member of the CSOHIMSS Chapter Board as the Sponsorship Chairperson. Her reason for CSOHIMSS involvement is to expand her networking with other Ohio health systems to share best practices and clinical information systems experiences. Richard Moore, Vice President & Treasurer Richard Moore is the owner and president of DME Consulting Services. He has 26 years experience with Healthcare Information systems working with many public and private organizations such as the Ohio State University Medical Center, Anthem Inc., Community Mutual Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Connecticut, Digital Insurance Systems Corporation, The Ohio Department of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services, The Ohio Corporation for Health Information, SummaCare, Inc., the Health Policy Institute of Ohio, Ohio Health Information Network and eHealth Ohio.
He currently is a project lead/business analyst for HIPAA transactions for two State Medicaid implementations. He is an active participant in the National Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) and is a member of the eHI/HIMSS workgroup on RHIOs and HIMSS Advocacy. He is the current president of eHealth Ohio and is their regional representative to the national standards development organization Workgroup for Electronic Data Interchange (WEDI). He also is the testing site administrator for eHealth Ohio’s free HIPAA transaction testing community.
He has participated as an author on WEDI testing whitepapers. His broad-based knowledge of health information systems and operations comes from experience working directly with providers, payers, software manufacturers, electronic data interchange organizations, billing services, clearinghouses and government agencies. He has been working the last 3 years as the project lead for the HIMSS RHIO Federation Special Projects Workgroup Pilot study on the use of the GSA e-Authentication model for Healthcare Information Exchange focusing on electronic identity management, secure electronic health information exchange and federated single sign-on. Russ Hessler, Past President Russ has over 15 years experience working in the Health Information field. His background has been with hospitals and ambulatory care facilities. He is currently completing his Masters of Science in Health Informatics at The Ohio State University.
Russ values both the relationships and experiences he has gained while serving in various capacities on the CSOHIMSS Board. He is anxious to serve the members of CSOHIMSS and is open to suggestions on how to improve the chapter. Russ can be contacted at past-president.

Joanne White, Secretary Chief Information Officer, Wood County Hospital, Bowling Green, OH
Joanne has 30 years experience in Information Technology, 15 of those in healthcare. Before becoming the CIO at Wood County Hospital Joanne was a Systems Engineer for Siemens Medical Solutions and was involved with project management, implementations and support.

Ajay Sharma, Program Chairperson
Ajay has nearly 20 years of experience in multiple industries and about 12 years in the information technology field. He was elected Program Chair in 2009, prior to which, he held the position of PR Chair for CSOHIMSS for a 2 year term. He has worked for systems integrators such as CDC Corporation, Satyam Computer Services (now Mahindra Satyam) and Boden, Inc. At Mahindra Satyam, which is a multi-billion dollar leading global systems integrator he worked in the Healthcare & Life Sciences industry vertical as well as the Enterprise Applications team primarily focused on enterprise applications initiatives.
Ajay has lived and worked in different parts of the world such as Hong Kong SAR and Bangalore, India before moving to New Jersey in the United States in 1995 where he currently lives with his family based out of the Greater Cincinnati region. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce from Bangalore University and an MBA in Marketing from Fairleigh Dickinson University, Madison, NJ.
Ajay has been the Director of Global Services of Horizon Companies/CDC (China Dot Com) Services and is currently also a Board Member in the Ohio Valley Oracle Applications User Group. He has been very active with the CSOHIMSS Board since 2007 and strives to leverage his diverse, multi-faceted background to the benefit of Chapter members and attendees. |

Mike has a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science from Youngstown State University. He is currently working on Implementing EMR and Practice Management throughout the Ohio Valley. Mike is a vital part of the transition of Medical Records from paper to electronic.

Natasha Kumar Edmonds, Membership Chairperson Physician EMR Services Manager, Wood County Hospital, Bowling Green, OH
Natasha has a Bachelors of Science in Computer Science Engineering and Technology, and an Executive MBA from the University of Toledo. She is currently working on implementing Electronic Medical Records systems in the Bowling Green, Defiance and Fostoria areas. She is responsible for directing and coordinating local physician's offices efforts to go paperless. She studies the charting and billing needs of individual offices and sets up an electronic workflow to gain maximum efficiency throughout the practice.
Natasha wants to be involved in the CSOHIMSS board to help design technology-based solutions to improve the efficiency and quality of healthcare. Albert Lai, Scholarship Chairperson
Albert M. Lai is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biomedical Informatics at The Ohio State University. He is also the Associate Director of the Biomedical Informatics Program for the Center for Clinical and Translational Science at The Ohio State University. Dr. Lai’s research interests include telemedicine to support chronic disease management, clinical and translational research, and the evaluation and usability of human computer interfaces for electronic health records.
Dr. Lai earned his Ph.D. in Biomedical Informatics from Columbia University, where his research focused on remote training of older adults to use the IDEATel telemedicine system. He also received bachelor's and master's degrees in computer science from Columbia University's Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Sciences.

Twyla Pohar, Sponsorship Chairperson Twyla Tiongson Pohar is a member of the CIO’s senior management team at the OSU Medical Center, one of the largest medical centers in the country with $1.5 billion in annual revenue. Since 2006, Ms. Pohar has been responsible for the strategic management of technology for the James Cancer Hospital and also oversees IT operations as Chief of Staff to the CIO. Prior to her current role, Ms. Pohar was recruited by the OSU Comprehensive Cancer Center in 2002 to build the bioinformatics unit, where she was responsible for managing software development for the biomedical research community, resulting in several publications and features in Science Magazine, Drug Discovery and Development and the Wall Street Journal.
Ms. Pohar brings experience and an established track record of execution and success in the field of healthcare IT. She combines an expertise in technology with a focus on strategic planning, business development and leadership. She develops vision and tactical business development plans, creating service offerings and delivery models that contribute to organizational strategy.
Her previous experience includes working as a senior associate at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and a fund administrator at Euro Brokers, Inc. in her native New York City.
Ms. Pohar earned a BA in Molecular Biology from Rutgers University, an MS in Healthcare Informatics from Rutgers University and an MBA from the OSU Fisher College of Business. Ms. Pohar serves on various boards and committees, including the Central and Southern Ohio Health Information Management Systems Society, The Fisher College of Business Alumni Board and is involved with non-profit organizations, including the YWCA. Johnny Milaychev, Public Relations Chairperson Johnny Milaychev is a Product Manager for New Wave Software. Mr. Milaychev graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics in 2007. He is currently studying in a CAHME accredited program at Xavier University to earn a Master of Health Services Administration degree. Mr. Milaychev has been with New Wave Software for two years, working in multiple product-related areas, including product implementations, customer education, technical writing, and product marketing.
