The CSOHIMSS and NOHIMSS Chapters announce the third annual Ohio HIMSS Advocacy Day!
Save the Date!
Date: Thursday, April 29, 2010
Time: 9:00 am to 6:00 pm
Place: Ohio Statehouse, Columbus, Ohio
For the American healthcare system, 2010 may be the most significant year since President Johnson signed the Social Security Act of 1965, establishing Medicare. For better or worse, our healthcare system is going to change in the coming decade. It is our responsibilty as citizens of America to make sure that this change is for the better. We do not always agree on what is better, but we can agree that voicing our ideas is a step in the right direction.
The Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) believes that quality, safety, and efficiency can all be improved "through the appropriate use of information technologies and management systems." In April, we go to the capital to make this idea known and you can help. Come with us to Columbus to listen to some great speakers, learn about healthcare reform, and meet with legislators. Attendence is free and ideas are required.
We are doing all the planning and organization. All you need to do is participate and we'll help you all the way. Plus, enjoy lunch and a reception/CIO panel in the Statehouse Atrium.

See the Agenda for a list of speaker presentations.
Pre-registration is required, so don't delay!
Thank you and we'll see you in Columbus!
