The CSOHIMSS & NOHIMSS Chapters announce the second annual Ohio HIMSS Advocacy Day!
Theme: Ohio 1st
Date: Wednesday, February 25, 2009
Time: 9:00 am to 6:00 pm
Place: Ohio Statehouse, Columbus, Ohio
2009 is the year for healthcare reform in the United States. The Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) believes that lives can be saved, outcomes of care improved, and costs reduced by transforming the healthcare system through the appropriate use of information technology (IT) and management systems.
As the new administration takes shape, proposing nearly $20B to healthcare, it's critical to understand the role that health IT can play in creating a more affordable, efficient and high quality health care system. Want your voice heard to help shape the future of Ohio's Health IT vision, now is your chance! You can join your fellow CSOHIMSS Chapter members as we partner with our neighboring NOHIMSS Chapter and take our issues to the Ohio State Government.
Our goal is to further our mission through knowledge sharing, and collaboration between providers, payers, and legislators...all future patients!
IF NOT YOU, WHO WILL REPRESENT YOUR ORGANIZATION?!
If you have ever had an interest in actively participating in HIMSS, participating in local politics and helping to shape the future of Ohio's Health IT vision, now is your chance! You can join your fellow Ohioans as the CSOHIMSS Chapter partner with NOHIMSS Chapter and take our issues to the Ohio State Government. We are doing all the planning and organization. All you need to do is participate and we'll help you all the way.
